Robert Wright

Suffolk

Target wheat yield: 14t/ha

Following school in Norfolk, Robert experienced Australia before returning to the family arable farm which includes HLS conservation and a range of diversification businesses. The owned and contracted 400 hectare business includes winter wheat, winter barley, beans, OSR, spring barley and sugar beet. Their soil ranges from light to heavy land and marshes so they use a range of cultivations including direct drilling, ploughing and shallow min-till. In addition to the farming enterprise they run a livery yard.

Robert is a real snow addict and for five seasons ran his own ski company with friends. He enjoys live music and festivals, and is very much looking forward to finally making it to New Zealand as he should have gone in the late eighties.
