Angus Murray

Angus Murray trained in Plant Sciences at Wye College, University of London, gaining an Honours Degree in 1990; a PhD from London followed in 1994 whilst working for Horticulture Research International, Littlehampton, on a GM tomato project funded by ICI Seeds in collaboration with the University of Nottingham.

Commercial, food industry and crop experience followed in subsequent employment by Van Heyningen Brothers Ltd (part of Hazlewood Foods), working on development of protected crops of herbs and soft fruit for the supermarkets, including quality control of the latter.  Angus gained his BASIS qualification during this time.

Angus then worked for The Scotts Company (UK) Limited, as part of the European R&D Team, working on plant protection, fertilizer and growing media projects for professional and consumer markets.

Angus joined BASF’s Technical Team in 2006, working in UK and European project teams, writing Biological Assessment Dossiers and supporting the UK business.  Angus now focusses on the Hotline and co-ordinates compatibility testing.
